The Treehouse Story

Way back in 2006, Pete and Chris decided to make a feature film with no budget. It was complete guerrilla filmmaking, using green screens, miniatures, and visual effects. Natalie joined to help shape the story, and after shooting, Tom came on board for post-production. They sold the movie at Cannes Film Festival.

A few years later, Paul was leaving the Navy and invested in the business to help them make "Litterbugs."  The team created a test shot to secure finance and support from BFI and Creative England before embarking on the "Litterbugs" journey.

Over the next few years, Treehouse released its own short films, "Litterbugs" (2016) and "Treaters" (2017), and provided content for multiple clients, including Crypt TV, with their successful web series "Shelley."

Keeping up with industry tech advancements, Treehouse pivoted to Virtual Production during the pandemic and serviced many high-end TV and film productions with LED screens. They were awarded an Epic Games Mega Grant, which funded their real-time animation short, "The Well" (2020).

In 2022, we committed to focusing 100% on real-time animation creation and landed a major feature film as the sole provider for all imagery and animation for "Rogue Trooper." We continue to push creative boundaries and test technological limitations.
